My Love for the Penguin

It all started 6 months ago whenever somebody gave me an old Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) Live CD. The timing was perfect: I had just had a wonderful transition to Firefox 3.5.5 and was loving FOSS software. Also, I was in the middle of learning C++, and PHP. Before Ubuntu (Linux), I knew of Macintosh as the only alternative to Windows. So then, I, a Windows Vista user, made the leap to Ubuntu on an old Windows XP box that had seen better days. Amazed by this new OS, started playing around. I was surprised by how easy it was compared to what I had heard from skeptics. I was then addicted to GIMP and started using my Linux programs on Windows Vista (my personal laptop's original OS) and then, after reading some blogs, I wiped dual-booted with Wubi, to 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat) - the release before the switch to Unity. Yet, this was only the beginning.
